Summer Reading Programs Ends with a Bang!!

The Summer Reading Programs ended with a BANG!!!  Jefferson County Fire Chief, Calvin Jones and staff informed us on fire safety and what to do in the event of a fire; Librarian Jerri Stampley read "STOP, DROP and ROLL"  instructing us also on what to do in the event of a fire, make sure we have a home emergency escape plan and to make sure that fire alarms are checked each years and that we should replace batteries often.  Policeman Quitman Walker stopped in to share in the fun with the children and photographer Joretha Stringer shared the memories by taking pictures.  The space jump was provided by Eric and Conchita Monroe, Owner of Jumptastic Space Jumps of Fayette, MS.  Refreshments and donations for the summer reading program were provided by         Wal-Mart, Natchez Market, Jefferson County Bank, and One Free Hamburger or Cheeseburger certificate given by McDonald's in Natchez.

Jomarro Oliver, Briana Reed and Ryan Reed receive T-Shirts for reading the most books during the Summer Reading Program

Source:  www.laughingcolours.com
National Cousins Day is celebrated each year on July 24.  This is a day to let all of your cousins, those both near and far, know how much you appreciate them.
Cousins often spend much time together at family reunions, holidays, birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries and many other countless family get gatherings.  They entertain each other, play and bond while adults are busy with other things.  It does happen that cousins grow up together being the best of friends.
